“Sixty Days of Mind Power Techniques” #33

We’re getting ready to have a seminar here at the Wellness Center called “Expressive Art.” It is billed by the developer, Dianne Monroe, as “a way of using art and inner-imagery to dialog with your deep inner voice.” It is based on medical research into deep imagery and the mind-body connection and is expected to offer participants physical and emotional healing and a deep understanding of the self. Dianne combines it with the principles of Deep Ecology: the view that humanity is part of the earth, and that personal and planetary well being are deeply intertwined.
Now if you’re like me, you read this and said, “Wow!! That sounds like a great workshop!” Dianne adds that this workshop is about “discovering the full, magical power of your authentic self.”

I do an intuition workshop that is sort of like this: In one exercise, participants sit outside and meditate on their surroundings. They then write whatever comes to them. I have had profound personal experiences doing this.

So, try this for starters. Go sit somewhere in nature. Ask Nature what you need to heal yourself. Then write or draw whatever comes to you. Don’t try to analzye it. Just do it. You will be amazed at the informatio you will receive from your inner wisdom.

  1. Thanks for sharing this wonderful activity. You have already intuited some underpinnings of my workshop. Through a full day of art and nature activities we will travel deeply into our relationship with the natural world, experiencing ways of opening to the wisdom nature has to offer.
