101 Ways to Be Really Happy: Step #34- Stumble Upon Something Unexpected

Stumbling Upon cool stuff is one of the coolest ways to have fun and be joyful that I do on a regular basis. There are lots of ways to stumble, but by far the easiest for the computer literate is to visit the Stumble Upon Website. According to Wikepedia, StumbleUpon is a discovery engine that finds and recommends web content to its users. Its features allow users to discover and rate Web pages, photos and videos that are personalized to their taste. My StumbleUpon is currently set up to show sites about dogs, anti-aging, alternative health, consciousness expansion, fitness, mental health, career planning, psychology, arts, nutrition and photography just to name a few.

When you click on StumbleUpon, the site randomly takes you to sites with your interests. Today I came across a site that said this:

Before you judge others, consider that you can see less than 1% of the electromagnetic spectrum and hear less than 1% of the acoustical spectrum…90% of the cells in your body carry their own microbial DNA and are NOT you. ..Human beings have 46 chromosomes, two less than the common potato.

Food for thought…..

Here’s another item. Here is a small portion of a group of mind-expanding documentaries for a site (Collectively Conscious) that keeps a list of great documentaries:

[5] A New Civilization:

We are at the dawn of a new golden age of human inventiveness.

1. THRIVE: What On Earth Will It Take?
2. Zeitgeist III: Moving Forward
3. Paradise or Oblivion
4. 2012: Time For Change
5. The Crisis of Civilization
6. The Collective Evolution II
7. The Quickening: Awakening As One
8. 2012 Crossing Over: A New Beginning
9. Collapse
10. The Awakening

I literally could spend hours stumbling.
