One of the things I have learned in eighteen years of helping anxious clients is that almost all of them are “empaths.” An empath is someone who can feel what other people feel. Unfortunately for the anxious client that talent typically ADDS to their anxiety as at least 20 percent of the population suffers from anxiety.

Therefore, a very useful technique is learning to put an Energy Bubble around yourself. Here’s how it works:

Sit or recline comfortably with your eyes closed and begin to focus on your breathing. Breathe in to the count of 6. Hold your breath for a 3-count, then breathe out to the count of 6. Do this about 10 times.

Relax your breathing and scan your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. Find the one point in your body that is the most relaxed. Maybe it’s the tip of your nose or maybe it is your left palm. Where ever it is begin to breathe through that point.

As you focus your breathing on one spot, that spot will begin to grow, just like when you drop a pebble into a very calm pond. The waves of relaxation will begin to widen and spread. Soon they will encompass your entire body and form a bubble around you.

Your relaxation bubble can keep negative vibes out. You will soon notice that you are the calm port in a storm. You can even use your bubble like a magnet to draw positive experiences and people to you.

Practice with your bubble every day for a month and notice the change in your relaxation level. Eventually you can simply say “Bubble up” to create your bubble. You now have your very own force field for peace and tranquility.
